Cheddington Recreation Ground

Cheddington Parish Council based in Buckinghamshire approached Wicksteed to look at providing a selection of outdoor gym equipment and surfacing for their local recreation ground. The recreation ground already offers grass football pitches, tennis courts, basketball courts and a bowls club. The introduction of the outdoor gym equipment would help enhance their outdoor activities and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Choosing from the extensive “Fitness Legacy Zone” range, the council opted for a mix of products covering muscle groups from upper to lower body activities. The final selection included Wicksteed’s Skier, Cycle, Double Leg Press and Chest Press & Pull Down Exercise Combo. The products came complete with a personalised information sign and individual instruction plates with unique QR codes, which links to our fitness tutorials on our YouTube, showing how to use the equipment. The Parish Council also chose to have two of our standard four colour options for the paint finish on the products.

The products were installed with a surrounding eco-fleck wet pour surface and suitably spaced to allow easy access to maintain the grass. The layout of the equipment also offers the opportunity for the outdoor gym area to be extended in the future. Read More Enquire
