Wicksteed were pleased with their successful tender submission for the redevelopment of Ambergate Recreation Ground.

The aim was to bring a new lease of life to the space, so all the existing equipment and bark was removed. The bark was replaced with turf and rubber grass matting to make maintenance easier and to allow more inclusive play. When proposing the design, the aim was to target toddlers and children up to 10 years old. Given this, we installed a Rock ’n’ Bowl, Little Miss Muffet unit, Activity Trail, 4 Saw See Saw, Treetops Tower unit with tube slide and a Viking Swing with Flat, Cradle and Basket seats. To improve the safety of the play area, we also replaced the old wooden fences with green steel fences, which complement the equipment and environment. Outside the fenced area a mini goal with side panels for football and basketball was included to add additional play opportunities in the park. Read More Enquire
