Wicksteeds winning formula! - Hot off the press: Play design company, Wicksteed Playscapes, is thrilled to announce its latest award-winning success by scooping two top business accolades!
Up against tough competition in three categories, Wicksteed emerged as the worthy winners of the Environmental and Customer Service Awards and was shortlisted for International Trader of the Year in The Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards at a huge ceremony held last night. Wicksteed is one of the largest designers and manufacturers of play and sports equipment in the UK and is rapidly building its global reputation.
Despite the current economic downturn, Wicksteed remains a market leader and this has to be down to its sound business practices, superb team mentality and, above all, through providing every customer with impeccable service both before and after sales.
Phil Holden, MD of Wicksteed, enthused: "Winning these awards is a great accolade for the company and is acknowledgement that we are getting it right!

Accepting the Environment Award on Wicksteed's behalf, Production Director - Graham Shatford said:-
We are extremely honoured to receive this Environmental Award and accept it on behalf of all our employees. It has been a massive team effort to achieve this accolade and everyone is extremely proud. Wicksteed has always been mindful if its impact on the environment and sourcing its materials sustainably. We continually endeavour to provide sustainable design concepts and construction techniques for our playgrounds - respecting the local character and environment. This includes the flexibility for re-use and recycling as well as sustainable practice in energy efficiency and use of resources. Receiving an award for this is the 'icing on the cake'!"
Accepting the Customer Service Award on behalf of Wicksteed, Katherine Perkins - Customer Service Manager said:-
"It was an exceptionally proud moment for me to accept the Customer Service award on behalf of all Wicksteed's employees, particularly so because as Customer Service Manager I am passionate about this subject. Wicksteed firmly believes that delivering excellent service and support to its customers enables the company to gain both new and repeat business - important at any time, but particularly essential in the current financial climate.
