Wicksteed welcomes Angus Mackintosh to the sales team:

Wicksteed welcomes Angus Mackintosh to the sales team - Wicksteed has just appointed a new Area Sales Manager for Scotland by the name of Angus Mackintosh - who is Scottish through and through.

Born and raised in south Glasgow, Angus plays Shinty - a sport of Scottish origin - for Glasgow mid Argyll, the most southerly team in the game.  This often involves travel to some beautiful but remote parts of the country.  His team finished second in the league this year and is anticipating a promotion next year!  So dedicated is Angus that he even gave up his season ticket for Celtic - which he'd had for 15 years - when the Shinty season changed and clashed with matches.

Angus has played the bagpipes since he was very young but these days confines displaying this particular talent to family and friends' weddings or if he's away on a European adventure following his beloved Celtic Football Club.

Having gained an international trade and business qualification at college, Angus took further training, went into the world of car rental and after 5 years had very successfully managed branches in 4 different locations.  Within the first twelve months of his training, Angus was placed in the 'Top Ten Sales Employees' - a great achievement and something of which to be rightly proud.

His move into the play industry is proving to be an interesting step forward and he is thoroughly enjoying the new challenges this change in career direction has already presented.

With lots of encouraging support being offered by his colleagues at Wicksteed, Angus - by his own admission - has not been afraid to ask plenty of questions which demonstrates a great enthusiasm and thirst for success in his new role.  He has already spotted the massive potential to drive new business and further enhance the company's strong reputation throughout the country and says: "I am excited about the opportunities which this role brings and with the backing of the market leader I would not want to be selling for any of the competition!"

Angus and his fiancee, Sarah, live in Glasgow and are looking forward to their wedding next year ~ perhaps he'll play the bagpipes...
