Stoke Albany playground ready for action! - The recently refurbished play area at Stoke Albany in Northamptonshire is now ready for action! Having consulted local children, particularly the Brownies Troop, in the theming of the area, Wicksteed were able to incorporate the subtlety of the chosen jungle theme into the design, thereby also retaining the rural feel, giving the kids what they want and encouraging their ownership of the site.

In order to cater for kids of all ages, a large variety of equipment has been installed on this naturally undulating site by Wicksteed Leisure of Kettering. Designed with separate areas - one for toddlers displaying colourful ground graphics depicting jungle animals, and the other for the older users where a grinning snake coils round the equipment - this site provides both attractive and challenging aspects for the local community. 

The existing landform of the area has been fully utilised to enable the kids to interact with the natural elements of the environment whilst developing their skills on the play equipment. 

The unique multi-directional Cantilever Pendulum Swing dominating the older play area will prove to be a very popular addition for kids aged between 5 and 14, whilst the intriguingly imaginative Mystical World unit will entertain the younger element. 

This scheme offers flexibility, physical challenges and, by its very nature, all kinds of sensory richness, too in this very natural playscape.
