Skateboard Ramp is a general term used for the components of a skateboarding area designed for recreation in parks and leisure facilities.
Skateboard ramp is also used for rollerblading and biking. It is much safer and much 
more fun to be skateboarding or rollerblading using a purpose-designed skateboard ramp than to risk annoying pedestrians on paths and in parks. A new generation Wicked Wheels range of Skateboard Areas from Wicksteed creates circuits that can include a skateboard ramp range to challenge experienced skaters, boarders and bikers, as well as beginners.
Every Wicksteed skateboard ramp is designed to BS PAS 35. You can choose from two skateboard ramp surface options.
- All Metal skateboard ramp surface - 4mm fully welded mild steel plate, coated with two layers of black, anti-slip paint. This skateboard ramp surface is solid, thus any potential noise is deadened.
- Skatelite Pro skateboard ramp surface - a compressed fibre laminate, used extensively in US Skate Parks and in international competitions. The substrate material is a coated plywood which prevents water ingress and absorbs noise. The Skatelite material is bonded onto the substrate of the skateboard ramp to form the smooth surface with low noise properties.
The support structure of the Wicksteed skateboard ramp designs incorporates footplates and grind edges, of galvanised steel.
