The Child Slide is an all time classic for the playground. It has always been a favourite and children can spend hours playing on this single unit with or without friends.
All metalwork on every Wicksteed child slide is pre-treated with a zinc metal thermal spray, finished with a polyester powder coating conforming to BS 5665 and EN 71 and fastened with tamper-resistant fixings.
Wicksteed provide a range of children’s slides which cater for different needs:
- The Wicksteed Pedestal Child Slide has three height options (low, medium and high) spanning the ages of 4 to 14 years and Kitemarked to BS EN 1176.
- Wide Slide is a child slide designed for integrated play, where children with special needs can play alongside their able-bodied friends or be assisted by carers.
- The space-saving strong pedestal supports of Wicksteed slides are for safety (no projections) and ease of installation.
- The Wicksteed Embankment Slide for 5 to 12 year olds has six lengths to choose from and is ideal for sloping sites.
- Every Wicksteed child slide has split tube safety edges.
All Wicksteed Slides carry a 25-year Metalwork Guarantee Against Structural Failure and a 5-year Paintwork Guarantee against corrosion.
All Wicksteed child slides have taken into account ages and needs, for example:
- Low Pedestal Slide - Age range 4 to 7 yrs;
- Medium Pedestal Slide - Age range 7 to 10 yrs;
- High Pedestal Slide - Age range 10 to 14 yrs;
- Wide Slide - Age range 5 to 12 yrs (The slide is wide enough to accommodate a child and a helper where necessary and play panels from our Tropica Multi-Play range can be incorporated at the lower level);
- Embankment Slide - Age range 5 to 12 years (Embankment Slides are available in six standard lengths).
