Wicksteed's sturdy product is known as Combat Cableway. It's an exciting aerial runway, Kitemarked to BS EN 1176.
For the age range 8 to 16 years, it is suitable for flat or gently sloping sites.
This one-way 20m Cableway, with a rubber button safety seat suspended by a plastic coated chain and support mechanism, transports the rider from a launch platform to a buffer stop at the end of the ride.
The steel support structure of Combat Cableway is manufactured for heavy-duty use and has a tensioned steel overhead cable with an accessible cable tensioner for routine maintenance.
As with all Wicksteed metal play and sports equipment, Combat Cableway is robust. It has a hot-dip galvanised finish as standard for the steelwork, which can also be polyester powder coated if required.
Wicksteed Safety Tiles or Wicksteed Continuous Safety Surfacing with pin kerb edging or Wicksteed Safety Grass are recommended for installation below the riding area of the Combat Cableway if on a grassed site. All three of these Wicksteed Safety Surfacing products carry a 5-year guarantee, excluding normal wear and tear and accidental damage.
Additional surfacing is required if your installation is to be on tarmac or concrete; an exact safety surfacing specification for the cableway is available from Wicksteed on request.
