Newark Road, Lincoln
There's a lovely earthy feel to the new play area in Newark Road, Lincoln, where Wicksteed has sensitively and creatively produced a challenging adventure natural trail in amongst the natural woody setting with Playbuilder funding
Within this playscape we created various special areas in the parkland consisting of agility trails intertwining through the existing trees. A special bridge has been designed which links both halves of the timber adventure trail and a cleverly crafted Willow Arch tunnel attractively nestles at the edge of the treeline.
There's also a huge Buccaneer Towers netscape with lookout point and a Warrior Anthill Climber - so the local community and visitors are finding plenty to keep them out in the great outdoors; natures own playground.

"This park at Newark Road, Lincoln, was one of two Playbuilder sites, the designs for which were independently chosen by two different schools. Wicksteed's designs incorporated that all important balance of the natural environment and exciting and challenging play in a creative way that complemented the pre-existing features of the sites."
