Gnoll Country Park, Neath
Gnoll Country Park is set in 18th Century landscaped gardens, with beautiful lakeside and woodland walks. It was therefore essential that the play area was attractive and 'natural' and in keeping with the surroundings.
The design incorporated mainly timber equipment, including an Aerial Runway, Timber Trim Trail, Log Benches, Log Pit Crossing, Cantilever Swing, plus an amazing undulating grassed 'Bridge-Run' with tunnels. The huge Buccaneer Towers Netscape make an exciting and imaginative centre piece where children can climb, clamber and swing at height with enormous pine trees in the background.
Councillor Manny Loaring of Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council says:
"Adventure play areas such as this one designed by Wicksteed Playscapes at Gnoll Park, Neath, are a real asset to the community and a definite enhancement to the Country Park."
