Orford Park - Brimming over with exciting play and fitness products in specially themed playscapes

Exciting times for the residents of Warrington, Cheshire, as sparkling, new play areas light up Orford Park.

The circus has come to town in the form of a newly installed circular play area displaying colourful animals and balloons on its surface with a jolly clown taking centre stage.  Created by Wicksteed for Warrington Borough Council, thanks to funding from the Big Lottery, the DSCF Playbuilder Fund and WREN, Orford Park has recently undergone a terrific facelift!  Designed with the younger element in mind, this playful scheme is just one third of the entire play area.

Chosen for what the Northamptonshire-based company do best; provide innovative play and fitness products in carefully designed and specially landscaped environments for kids of all ages, Wicksteed has come up trumps yet again.

There's a space-age buzz to the older kids' playground with graphical images of aliens, astronauts and stars underfoot and challenging, funky play products to keep the children fit and entertained.

An enticing Wicksteed Netscape stands tall in amongst the woodland themed play area where pictures of leaves, trees, foxes and rabbits can be spotted laid into the surfacing - creating a wonderful natural theme in the shade of the towering trees.

Something extra for all ages is the inclusion of a special fitness circuit brimming with Xerscape units.  These have been installed adjacent to the newly refurbished ballcourt.  There's absolutely no excuse for shunning exercise now that a gym in the fresh air and a multi-use games area have all been provided - for free!
