Paint Finish
Outdoor playground equipment and sports equipment is necessarily exposed to the elements during its lifetime. Therefore our paint finish – unique in our industry - is essential in order to maximise the life of the product and avoid corrosion. Metal Wicksteed playground equipment is firstly shot blasted to remove all impurities in the steel. A zinc metal thermal spray treatment follows, which gives a textured finish and acts as a self-healing ‘keying’ surface for the final powder coat finish to adhere to. The electro statically applied lead and cadmium-free paint is both environmentally and child-friendly.
The whole system ensures a long life corrosion-free finish with minimal maintenance costs. These treatments and our strict manufacturing quality standards allow us to offer long-term guarantees on our products which include a 25 year guarantee on the metal structure of the play equipment and 5 year guarantee on all paintwork.
