Keeping Wicksteed in the news - STOP PRESS STOP PRESS...Upgraded play area in South Ribble that made local telly and brand new fact-filled brochure highlighting Wicksteed's terrific timber-based ranges and services...A brand new play area has just been officially opened for the people of Leyland in Lancashire and the County Council’s ‘Aiming High for Disabled Children’ £30,000 grant helped with the funding of this recent upgrade, making the playground more inclusive. A further £82,500 was received from the Big Lottery Fund ensuring that the park now offers a huge array of products and features for all ages and abilities. Wicksteed Playscapes – who were interviewed for the local telly during the Open Day – installed majority of the equipment for the site. Inclusivity is key, and South Ribble Borough Council was keen to fully embrace this. Wicksteed’s basket-seated Bobbin Swing, Revolva roundabout and Pig and Donkey Springies in particular all cater for children of differing abilities providing plenty of fun and exercise along the way.
